Intercession Makes a Difference

"So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one." -Ezekiel 22:30

Just one person would have made the difference! God sought that person. How many situations are there today, in our world, where the Lord is looking for just one person to stem the tide of sin’s hideous destruction? He is not looking for a perfect person, just a person who will stand before Him on behalf of people who cannot stand for themselves.

Intercessors are invited to stand before the throne of all grace and love, with Jesus at the right hand of the Father. There we plead our case as intercessors.

The Son of God (the absolute Advocate for us all) confirms our intercession, and the power of God is released to flow to places where devastation is in process and God’s redemption is needed and welcomed. And it only takes one. Let us learn to steward our intercessory privilege with sensitivity and to respond as He calls us to be the ones who stand in the gap.
