A Feast Served by Jesus

"Blessed are those servants whom the master, when he comes, will find watching. Assuredly, I say to you that he will gird himself and have them sit down to eat, and will come and serve them." -Luke 12:37

The signs of Jesus’ coming are everywhere; this is the season to watch faithfully for the Lord’s return. Jesus declares “blessed” over those who watch for Him. It is in this same verse that Jesus promises He, the returning master, will have believers sit down to eat and will come and serve them.

Jesus promises to feed us Himself, filling every emptiness that can only be satisfied with a feast provided by His own hand. Wherever we have hungered, we will be completely filled.

He further promises that He will be the One to serve us. The thought of Jesus serving us Himself is incomprehensible. He has already given us so much! How much more could He give after He poured out His life for us and sent His Spirit to us? So great is His love! So real is His promise, and so soon is His coming!
