How to Minister the Baptism With the Holy Spirit

by | Jun 27, 2026

Pastor Jack teaches on how to minister the baptism of the Holy Spirit to others in this practical session from a 1976 seminar. He carefully distinguishes between the indwelling work of the Holy Spirit at regeneration and the overflowing baptism of the Spirit for ministry, addressing common fears and doubts while providing step-by-step guidance. Drawing from Acts 8 and other passages, Pastor Jack emphasizes that Jesus is the baptizer, offers practical counsel for dealing with seekers, and explains how to lead someone into the fullness of the Spirit with spiritual language.

Survey of New Testament Ministries

Pastor Jack draws from Romans 12 and 1 Corinthians 12 to survey the spiritual gifts and ministries God has given to the church. He carefully distinguishes between the domata (gifts given by Christ to develop the church—apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, teachers) and the charismata (the nine gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed as He wills). Pastor Jack emphasizes that every believer has significance in the body of Christ, and teaches that ministries function in faith, love, and hope, calling the congregation to practical, Spirit-empowered service.
