Cut Off But Not Out; Cut Up But Not Down, Part 1

Cut Off But Not Out; Cut Up But Not Down, Part 1

Sunday, April 17, 2011

In every believer’s walk with the Lord, we face times when it seems like we’re being cut off, perhaps by circumstances; or cut up, perhaps in our relationships. But God promises that if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in us, He will give life to our mortal bodies. It isn’t about being exempt from the trials of life but learning to walk with Jesus through them to the freedom of deliverance, recognizing that He is the one who marks the timing on that. It’s about abiding in the presence of the resurrected Jesus in the midst of whatever struggles we go through.

This is Part 1 of a two-part series which is available as an Album.

Romans 8:11; Isaiah 53:1-10

Keeping Your Focus and Pace

Keeping Your Focus and Pace

Sunday, January 16, 2011

Progress and victory depend on keeping our eyes on Jesus as we “press toward the mark.” We are encouraged and empowered to run with patience toward fruitfulness and the fulfillment of God’s purpose in our lives because of the “cloud of witnesses” who have already gone before us.

This teaching is Part 2 of the two-message series, “The Year of Advancement.”

Philippians 3:13, 14; Hebrews 12:1-4

Pressing Against the Flood

Pressing Against the Flood

Sunday, January 9, 2011

Addressing the congregation of The Church On The Way, which he served as senior pastor for thirty years, this message by Pastor Jack begins a two-part series ushering in “The Year of Advancement” with an exhortation to continue pressing toward the mark. That mark isn’t defined by religious habit but by running with patience the race that is set before you and being open to the fresh and expansive things God wants to do.

This teaching is Part 1 of the two-message series, “The Year of Advancement.”

Philippians 3; Hebrews 12:1-4

Stretch Forth Your Hand

Stretch Forth Your Hand

Sunday, December 12, 2010

The Lord Jesus has a tender heart to heal anything that may have withered in our lives. He comes to restore the broken things that are beyond imaginable recovery and to meet us in a phenomenal moment of need. At the same service in which Pastor Jack ministered this message, a young woman gave her testimony of how God miraculously spared her life when she made the horrible decision to end it by laying down on the tracks in front of a speeding freight train. Spirit Formed TV broadcast.

Matthew 12:9-14

Five Reasons…Unto Thanks-Living

Five Reasons…Unto Thanks-Living

Sunday, November 28, 2010

Thanksgiving and “thanks-living” have to do with recognizing God’s heart for people. His unfailing Word assures us that even when the world around us doesn’t look hopeful or promising, in Christ Jesus we have a securing power, a planned process, a guaranteed outcome, a sustaining Savior, and a certified hope.

This is part one of a two-part series, “Five Reasons for Thanksgiving and Thanks-Living” available as an album.

Prophesying Your Own Future, Part 2

Prophesying Your Own Future, Part 2

Sunday, September 12, 2010

When it comes to the release of God’s will in our lives, nothing provides more of a yardstick than forgiveness. Jesus paid for us the greatest debt of all at the Cross. But so often we fail to recognize the enormity of what has been done for us, and thus fail to give place for it to abound through us to others. To prophesy your own future is to live by the law of reciprocal return—as we give, so it will be given to us. And as we judge, so will we be judged. Parts 1 and 2 are available together as an album, “Prophesying Your Own Future” Matthew 18:23

Matthew 18:23

Prophesying Your Own Future, Part 1

Sunday, August 29, 2010

Not only does Jesus provide us with the keys of the Kingdom—that whatever we bind on Earth will be bound in Heaven, and whatever we loose on earth will be loosed in Heaven—there is a parallel truth: What happens on Earth releases what is already intended and provided for by Heaven. And we determine the maximum release by how we grow in the law of reciprocity—by whatever measure we use for others, that measure will be applied to us. Parts 1 and 2 are available together as an album, “Prophesying Your Own Future” Psalm 119:165; Matthew 18:19

Father’s Funding and Your Doorway

Father’s Funding and Your Doorway

Sunday, June 20, 2010

Just as He came to John when the disciple was locked up in a prison colony, the Lord Jesus comes to us with the key that opens the door no one can close. And when Jesus shuts a door, no one can open it. Today in whatever locked or blocked circumstance you face, hear and receive the Lord’s words: “See, I have set before you an open door.”

Revelation 3, 4

Time to Take the Kingdom

Time to Take the Kingdom

Sunday, June 13, 2010

God wants us to see what He’s made available, what is in motion, and how to partner with Him as those things process. To “take the Kingdom” is to move forward with passionate commitment to the will and purpose of God, not only in the affairs of your own life, but also in the circumstances that surround you and in the issues that challenge our world. It’s keeping focused on what God’s called us to become, refusing to be swept away by whatever trials we may personally face.

Isaiah 63
