It’s known as His “triumphal entry.” But as Jesus entered Jerusalem, He wept over the city, knowing the broken capacity of humanity to be swayed by circumstances. Though they welcomed Him rejoicing, “Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord!” just a few days later their cheers of “Hosanna!” would turn to jeers of “Crucify Him!” Yet the ultimate triumph was about to take place. At the Cross, God’s final victory over everything of tears, defeat or death would be realized, making way for the triumphal entry of Christ into our lives. Spirit Formed TV broadcast.

When we come to worship, we’re coming to the starting point of everything that begets substance and fruitfulness in our lives. There are many words used today to describe worship—celebration, exaltation, praise, magnifying the Lord, and glorifying the Lord. But at the heart of worship is meeting God, and while praising Him is worthy, He wants us to come into His presence. It’s in that encounter that we experience watershed worship. In calling His people to build a tabernacle for Him to come and dwell with them, God wasn’t saying that He needed a physical structure. He wants us to make a conscious decision to open to His presence—to the scope of His influence, and to build a dwelling place for Him where we live—physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. To become “living stones being built up a spiritual house” in ourselves that we may advance His Kingdom wherever we go, to whomever we meet. Spirit Formed TV Broadcast. The sacrifice of open praise is not only biblical, but also a very real summons to come into His presence and present ourselves before the Lord. However you may think it looks to others, there is nothing more dignified than to answer God’s call to worship before Him. He’s called us as a “royal priesthood,” and just like those in David’s time who were called to carry the ark of God, there is something we are called to carry on our shoulders as those who have been redeemed through Christ. It’s not a religious priesthood; it’s the real life of a worshipper of God, and nobody else can carry that for you. Spirit Formed TV Broadcast. This fourth and concluding episode of the series looks at Abraham's greatest altar-the one upon which he was asked by God to sacrifice his only son. On his journey, Abraham was met by the Lord, received His promise, and sealed it by building an altar. In that is a practical truth for us: from heaven God will meet us with a promise, and, like Abraham, we complete that spiritual transaction at an altar. The Revelation of Jesus Christ calls us to confront the real obstacle to our being ready at His appearing, and that is, presuming that whatever growth or blessing we’ve had with Him so far is adequate for the season ahead. Just as John, who was the “stenographer” of this last book of the Bible, had no idea there was more for him than to spend his last years in prison, we too are called to see Jesus “like never before,” and to receive His fresh anointing that will take us further than we can ever imagine.

Easter Sunday, April 24, 2011 Christ is risen; He is risen indeed! Jesus is not only the central Person of history, the Bible declares that He’s the Bright and Morning Star. The morning star is the most brilliant light in the eastern sky that shines just before the dawn and introduces a new day. The New Day that Jesus heralds is for every person who need the freshness of a touch from the living God.
