Dear Loved One,
Is there anyone who doesn't like receiving gifts? To be given a gift is to know that you are loved and cared about. And there is no greater Giver of gifts than Father God. In fact, His Word exhorts us to "covet earnestly the best gifts."
All of us who know the Lord have within ourselves a gift from Him which stirs us, and to which we inherently respond. Understanding first Father God's creative ingenuity in you—how He's created you to be—is fundamental to understanding yourself. Then, the gifts of the Son—ministries that Jesus gives to the Church and which are extended through people—help us to understand who we can become.
Finally, the Holy Spirit is the Enabler who gives us the power and gifts to function beyond the created order. The Holy Spirit enhances, enlarges, and expands what you and I were made to be. Yet to "covet the best gifts" isn't to collect them as we would fine pieces of art. We are to function as a channel through which the gifts of the Spirit happen for the sake of ministering to situations and to other people.
In my years of preaching and teaching, it's been amazing to see the light that dawns in precious people as they study the distinction between the gifts of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Learning the source and purpose of the different gifts of the Godhead truly opens up "the eyes of our understanding."
"Covet The Best Gifts" is a three-part series, never before offered as an album, that I believe will help you in your walk with Christ, as well as your capacity as a ministering agent of His Kingdom. The CD album is our Thank You for your gracious support of $20 or more to the ministry. We also invite you to read an article I've written on this subject.
Friend, your partnership, at whatever dimension, is what makes possible our teaching ministry that reaches and touches people around the world via our website and broadcasts. You are a cherished gift to us.
With praise to Father God, Giver of gifts, and
to Jesus, Redeemer of all He's created us to be,
Pastor Jack
